technically there is no variation to it, pentozali is a pidikto from Xania, just like the pidikto from hrakleio is maleviziotis and sitia is steiakos (pidiktos) and anwgeianos pidiktos is from mulopotamos

would that look bad if a woman does it. i have seen pretty much all of your videos but now i realized that maybe that’s only for men. would i still look faminine if i do all of that. specially this one seemed very strong. i dont know.

Hi Erunis and thanks for the comment. This dance is for everyone and I normally teach this in the class as a mixed dance so don’t feel like you shouldn’t dance it. Pentozali is a lot of fun!

Hi Panagiotis, thank you for your message… unfortunately, that’s all I’m going to do for this dance. If you can do the basic with ease then you should be able to copy others if they start to do other figoures. νασε καλα!

my father (harilaos Piperakis)taught me and my brother to dance pentazali. He stressed you point your toes .its not like kicking a ball .woman put their hands on their hips. A Cretan man his arm was stretched out. Again you did not kick you pointed your toes. But I am 80 yrs. old now. And from wham I see the dances have no class. My opinion.

I’m glad I scrolled down and saw this question. I to was going to ask the same question. Are there more dances that are for both male and female?
